22 October 2010
- 24 October 2010
Jesus comes to you and says, "Follow me." What do you do? You look and see the world as it is. How do you respond? If these are important questions for you, Common Life invites you to become part of a community discerning together what God is asking of us and what it means to respond as followers of the way of Jesus. At the heart of Common LIfe are spiritual practices that are both individually and communally, including prayer, action for justice, and retreat. We'll meet for six weekends over the course of the next two years. At our first gathering we'll set dates for the weekend meetings through to June 2012. From previous participants in this program:
"Spiritual practices, accountability, and spiritual growth and learning are explored and nurtured in an open and and loving community."
"Unleashed a divine force and energy that has sustained and pushed me to both action and contemplative practice that I could never have imagined."
