Special Needs: All Ages
We are committed to providing a quality experience for all children, youth and adults. Please advise us about any special needs you or any member of your family may have, when you register. Advance notice will help us to provide appropriate support, program activities and qualified leadership. Special needs may include medical conditions (e.g. allergies, Alzheimer’s) or emotional or physical issues (e.g. learning disabilities, phobias, grief). A member of your family may benefit from having a buddy to accompany him or her during the week. Please contact us to arrange for this care.
The Jennifer McGill Memorial Fund
Jennifer first attended the Centre with her family when she was nine months old, and returned year after year, most years assisted by a caregiver provided through the Heartwood Bursary program. Naramata Centre was a special spiritual home for Jennifer. She knew she was on a journey to be with God, and looked forward to being free from the challenges of her disabilities to run, ski and go bungee jumping in heaven. Jennifer died in 2009; her vibrant energy is missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.
A memorial fund in Jennifer’s honour has been established to help provide funding needed to provide access into the lake for people with disabilities.
Donations to this fund may be made by mail, or by calling the development office at Naramata Centre at (250) 496-5751 ext 214.
